In case you have never heard of Sumowala before, it is good to know that our name stems from Sun, Moon, Water, Land. That is why our first Sumowala Experience begins with a weekend devoted to the Sun.

Like the sunrise coming up in the morning, we would like to ‘wake up’ outside and get to know nature. With a range of immersive activities, we will collectively explore our relationship with the natural world.
All of this is done with the help of Koen Arts and Gina Maffey, our ambassadors. They have a profound love for nature and a lifetime of experience living in, and with, nature. Together they challenged themselves to spend at least half of their time outside for a year. A beautiful story, with many life changing lessons learnt from sleeping outdoors for 365 nights in a row. Following the ‘Wild Year’, and together with friends, they established the charity Wildeor, which aims to bring nature back to life. It is our pleasure that they are able to join us for this first Sumowala Experience.
